Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 80 Junior Engineer (Mechanical) posts under joint cadre of Public Works Roads Department and Public Works (Bldg. & NH) Department. Interested candidates can apply online.

Pay Scale: Pay Band – 2, Rs.14,000/- to 60,500/- + Grade Pay: Rs.8,700/- per month
Educational Qualification:
- The candidate must have a Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any technical institute recognized by the Government.
- The Diploma must be a Regular course. Diploma courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
Local Language: Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1 (one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
Eligibility:
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
