Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently announced an employment notification for the recruitment of 12 Tourism Development Officer (Grade-II) posts under the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Assam. Pay Scale: Rs.22,000/- to 97,000/- + Grade Pay: Rs.9,400/- per month

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must be an lndian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of lndia and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
As a domlcile proof of the candidate, he/she must upload a copy of the valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose/Employment Exchange Registration Certificate will be treated as proof of residency.

Edcuational Qualification:

Minimum Qualification shall be a Graduate from a University in any stream recognized by the Government with knowledge of computer of at least 6 (six) months duration. Or
Graduate in Hospitality, Hotel, Travel and Tourism Management or Administration from a recognized University with knowledge of Computer of at least 6 (six) months duration.

Preferable Qualification:

Knowledge of any Foreign Language other than English or language spoken in lndian Subcontinent.
Working Experience in travel and Tourism or Hotel management administration section.
