Assam Agricultural University (AAU) has recently released a job notification for the recruitment of 03 Technical Assistant Posts on a temporary basis for the project AICRP on Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (PHET), Khanapara Centre, Deptt. of Livestock Products Technology. 1. Technical Assistant for Meat Processing Unit (PHET Lab.)

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
Desirable:
- Working experience in meat science laboratory/ research project.
- Proficiency in computer application.
2. Technical Assistant Equipment Fabrication Unit (PHET Lab.)
No of Posts: 01 Nos.
Category-wise Posts:
- UR: 01
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000/- To 60,500/- (G.P. Rs.8,700/-)

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable:
- Working experience in food processing equipment designing/ fabrication.
- Proficiency in computer Application.
Selection Process
Names of Shortlisted candidates will be notified in due course of time in the website www.vetbifg.ac.in.
Shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for two Tests i.e.
- First Phase Test and
- Second Phase Test
First Phase Test: Shortlisted candidates need to appear in an MCQ-based written test on the subjects viz. General knowledge and Current affairs, English Language, Computer Application, and Logical Reasoning and aptitude. The total marks of the test will be 50.0 of 1.0 hr duration. Each question will carry 4.0 (four) marks and there will be a negative marking of 1.0 (one) mark for each wrong answer. Successful candidates in the written test shall be called for the Second Phase Test.
Second Phase Test: Shortlisted successful candidates from the written test shall have to undergo for a Skill Test on Computer literacy/ laboratory work! laboratory equipment handling.
