Salary: The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000 (IDA) (E2) during one year training period. After successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer/Officer in the same scale with probation of one year. The total annual emoluments for the new joinee shall be approx.Rs.15 Lakh.
NHPC Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification
Minimum Qualification for posts:
Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology:
- Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in relevant disciplines from recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade. Or
- AMIE (enrollment upto 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.

Trainee Officer Geology:
- Full Time regular M.Sc. (Geology) / M.Tech. in Applied Geology (should have studied Geology with Maths or Physics at graduation level) from recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Master’s degree.
Trainee Engineer/ Officer Environment:
- Full time regular B.E./B.Tech (Environmental Engineering)/ M.Sc. (Environmental Science) from recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
